To Heaven by Faith - To Hell with Tradition?

LITITZ, Penn., June 30 /Christian Newswire/ -- In a peaceful Christian, Lancaster
farm community easily seen as a model for the conscientious objector, a virtual
battle for the church has ensued with members arguing Faith versus Tradition as
the only way to the Kingdom of God.

Several conservative Bishops complained that folks outside their faith community have
told them they cannot go to heaven because their tradition denies the grace of God.
When asked, their accusers stated that the works of man and obedience to man's
rules rather than obedience to God through freedom in Faith would prevent them from
entering Heaven.

Tom Miller the Author of Grace, Faith, and Works thought to clarify the truth and
necessity of biblical works quoting James 2:26b, "faith without works is dead", and
both defines and explains what are "Grace, Faith and Works." He shares his "Personal
Pilgrimage, From Tradition to Believing, Understanding Salvation and Servanthood."

In the Preface on p. viii Miller states: "The subtitle or slogan if you will, 'To Anabaptist'
for me retrospectively reads as a legend or virtual parable; a representation of a
particular dimension of cognition as in 'for conscience sake' as I consider the
theological atmosphere wherein and due to the spiritual warfare I was witness to and
experienced at that time, the phrase 'To Anabaptist' was likened to a 'call to arms.' Out
of volition due to conviction, I confessed my faith and pressed on to serve God." In
serving God from a regenerate heart he states, "These are my good works."

On p. 11, Miller says, "Good works for me came out of God's desire as I understand it
as we who believe were created in Him to do good works." . . . . "God opened my eyes
to the knowledge of His grace and His love which grew into a life-changing passion to
reach others causing an introspective self-examination for the God given gifts and
abilities and His desire to develop and use them in service to Him. The Lord God
Himself was the driving force behind anything I might have done or will ever do if there
were to be such a thing as a good work coming from me in service to Him. And to God
give all the glory, Amen. We are all God's creation, living in a fallen world. Outside of
Christ Jesus there is no instruction or teaching that leads to Eternal Life."
